“As co-inventor I’m obviously biased, but the BC2 really has transformed my whole experience as a drummer. In the past, whenever I couldn’t feel the weight of my bass drum, I would instinctively over compensate by playing too hard, and then automatically the top kit would follow suit. Then everyone else would turn up… As well as these volume wars, my timing would be affected: Over-playing would lead to the time feeling tense and pinched, and at times I would be playing with gritted teeth trying to locate the bass drum, which is the root of my sound and groove.”
