“Being somewhat of a technophobe, it is rare that I get excited about electronic gear. More often than not it is a vintage snare or an old K ride that floats my boat. However, Porter and Davies’ BC2 has changed all of that. As soon as I tried it live with Tony Christie’s band I was hooked. All the days of over-hitting the bass drum in order to hear it have gone. It enables me to play my usual heel down approach and feel with 100% accuracy where I am placing the beat. I now have no need for bass drum level in my monitors/in-ears thus freeing-up the sonic space for other parts of the kit and band that I need to lock in with.”
