“Clearly and accurately hearing the bass drum has been a problem for me ever since I started playing live. Playing the drums when you can’t hear what you’re doing is not much fun. The automatic response is to play harder which means your technique suffers and you can’t express yourself in the way you’d like. I can probably count on one hand the number of gigs where I’ve had an ideal monitoring situation – and usually it comes down to being able to hear the kick drum well without it getting in the way of the rest of the monitor mix.
The BC2 fixes that problem. Not only does it fix it, but it actually moves the goal posts. It turns out that feeling the kick is even better than hearing it through a monitor. It’s direct, you feel all the subtleties of what you’re playing, and you do actually hear the low end even though the stool doesn’t make any noise. The BC2 gives you the feedback you need to play accurately at all dynamic levels no matter what the monitoring situation. Live, it allows you to hear and feel the kick clearly without any monitors at all (the sound engineer will LOVE you!) In the studio it provides that low end that you thought you could only get when playing live. Most importantly, it makes playing the drums even more enjoyable. I’m pretty certain every drummer who tries it is going to want one!”
