Robin Guy

Bruce Dickinson, Rachel Stamp, Sham 69

RIP Robin, a true gentleman. No one was more passionate about his craft.
“I’ve played pretty much most sizes of venue that have been built
– be it from pubs, clubs & theatres up to huge festivals & outdoor arenas etc & the larger the venue,
usually means the better equipped in terms of staging, lights, & the all important sound & monitoring systems.
However, doing many sessions means I’m thrust into many different situations & I have to prepare myself & my equipment
to adapt instantly, so when it came to a recent club (also affectionately known as ‘toilets’) tour with GMT,
I used a different monitor, with different Front of House soundman every night
– leaving me little or no control over my drum sound once the gig was underway…

However, this tour was a totally different experience, as I was using the new Porter & Davies GIGSTER…”
